i just joined as a member a little while ago and when i try to upload a photo to my profile or view a post at the members only forum, it says cannot validate userid but it works fine when i modify my account info or post under my name

first of all welcome to the board!
here is a thread that might help you with your delema

there are two different forms of authentication.
If you set the username and passwords to be the same for both you shouldn't have any other problems.
Give a shout out if you are still having problems.
