Subject: Painting a supercharger... any ideas??? IP: Logged
Message: I'd like to paint my powerdyne head unit, I'm not big into chrome so dipped/polished isn't an option. with my jba wires, msd core, and msd ignition I kind of have a red/blue color scheme going but I was thinking about trying to mimic a black wrinkle finish. I was thinking about loosening up the bolts just enough to tape them off leaving them the satin finish they have now.
Anyhow, any ideas? .. I kind of think all blue would look kind of tacky so I'm really thinking about trying to do a black wrinkle finish like on the mopar headers. The satin finish it has is pretty textured and would lend itself well to this, and I don't want to use some ghetto fleckstone lamp shade paint so do I have any options? I just think a flat black somewhat textured supercharger with carefully masked bolts would look extremely clean. I'm def open to other ideas so let me know what you think.
thanks!

Message: nah I want something simple and to be honest with you I don't really have the extra cash to spend 150+ bones on a finish. That would look nice though

Message: it's made out of aluminum right? anodize it if it is, you can get any color, and after the color base, get a hard clear coat so it won't take minor dings.
