I am thinking about buying a 2003 Dakota slt 4x4 cc 4.7 auto.I really like the truck, but I have some concerns about long term realiabilty. I keep my vehicles on average about 7 years. It will be used daily in my construction buisness. I hope you guys can help me with a couple of questions I have. I've heard there has been some problems with blown 4.7 motors, mostly in the durango, but I have read of similar problems in the Dakota. Anyone here aware of this? Noticed many ball joint problems, is this something I should expect to happen also? Is the new 5 speed auto just a revised mulispeed transmission? Anything else I should be aware of? Thanks for any help.
