Looked into doing it on my new '00 wiht just overhead console but no computer after totalling out my '99 that had everything. There are no connecotrs for the computer if yu just have the plain jane overhaed console. Have seen a few places online saying that all you have to do(at least for swapping from same model year dakota to another) is to remove the whole wiring harness that goes up the pillar and along the headliner to the overhead computer, and trace it back to conector under dash. Mark the pin locations as you remove them and install in reverse order into your other truck. Will look into doing this sometime in future. Still have to find where the temp sensor on the front radiator support is tapped into wireing harness to work with overhead computer though.

oh yea, the MPG pseudo thingy.

Which is basically flawed anyway to give the driver a sense that they're getting good MPG.

Some people have actually said, that they are relatively accurate, kinda like a handgranade, all you have to do is get it in the ballpark.

Yes i know, i managed to get it as low as 3 and as high as 99. Those caravans have decent power, 100ft burnouts with ease!
