Subject: V6 to V8 swap questions

Message:
I just bought a 1999 Dakota 318 block with wiring harness (used) because I want to swap out my 3.9 that my current 1999 CC Dakota has. My question is, will any of the accessories like the alternator, power steering pump, AC pump, all of that work with the 318? I would seem to think they would since the V6 is a V8 with two cylinders cut off. I have never done this type of work so if there is anybody who has and knows if this will work I would appreciate the help. Also if you know of any other stuff that bolts right onto the V8 from the V6 let me know.

Almost forgot, I have the AX-15 (5-Speed) tranny right now. If I want to swap it out for an NV3500 (I believe that’s the 5-Speed that comes with the 318) will I have to shorten or lengthen my drive shaft? I guess a simpler question is, are the NV3500 and the AX-15 the same length so I do not have to do a complete driveline change?
