Message: '97 CC 4WD 318 Auto. I wrote a few weeks ago re: slight "pop" in steering wheel when you pull on the wheel (only vertical, not horizontal) and no one had similar problem.
One more question: the wheel won't lock. It would appear at some point the column was damaged.
Thinking it might be easist just to replace the column. Has anyone replaced a column, and will a '98 fit a '97, etc.?
