Subject: SLT badges IP: Logged
Message: Like a lotta DAK owners, the first mod I did to mine was to peel the "DODGE" lettering off the tailgate. I wanted to replace it with the 3-dimensional "DAKOTA" and SLT" chrome badges that are on the doors, but a maddening inquiry to the parts dept. returned a quote of $96.00 FOR ONE SET!! No BS...
That means nearly TWO HUNDRED CLAMS if I were to need both sides (I don't).
Anyone know of a dealer that doesn't carry a sword and sport a patch over one eye?
I'd love to have a set of these, but not for $96.00. These badges aren't TITANIUM, for Christ's sake, they're PLASTIC.

Message: I've got a 2001 SLT that I'm going to take the badges off the door. I was going to eBay them but if you make me a reasonable offer, I'll sell them to you. My truck only has 2,600 miles on it and you'll simply need some new 3M double sided tape for them.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Message: I'll send you a check for $20.00 right now (for one set (SLT + D-A-K-O-T-A), and you can still put the other set on eBay.
OR... if that's not acceptable to you, let me know your eBay username, and I'll look for 'em there.
Thanks, Jimmy

Message: A hot day and hair dryer will work on the badges as well. Just take lots of time and make sure they are plenty warm. Once you get the corner going on them just peel back real carefully.
Jimmy, e-mail me with your address and I'll do the same. My e-mail is Treasures4uii@aol.com. My user ID on eBay is hiporag. Always seem to have some Dakota parts out there as I change things out....
