Message: Joe I had a 93 dakota sport with 5.2. I put the transgo shift kit in that trans worked very well. The problem is that you need a good apply lever thw stock one is probably a 2.9 lever it would be nice to get a 3.8 this helps firm up the first to second shift. Also I remember the kit called for a servo change that I did not do becuase the trans was in the car. You should not have a problem with that since your trans is out. I went ahead and put the performance parts in. The trans shifts well, but remember the line pressure is higher so the trans will sometimes shift hard at low speeds depending how much throttle pressure you apply. The truck is still running with this trans with 150,000 miles.

Message: Should I go with the street regular kit, or the "stage 2" performance kit? I would like to get the performance kit. Any bad things about it?
Thanks

Message: The transgo shift kits have all the parts for street or performance in the kit the differance is only a pressure sping and a servo. The instructions are pretty clear. Go with the performance shift.
