Message: I have an over the bed rail bed liner. Are there and bed liners out there that will work for my truck? Most bed liner companys never reveal this info.
If there is such a bed liner where can I find one and who has the best prices?

Message: I'm not too sure what you're asking but if it's whether or not a box liner will work with a toneau cover, the answer is yes. I have a MOPAR under the rail box liner and a fiberglass toneau cover.

Message: Selcher -
I have a Mopar under the rail liner too. What kind of fiberglass toneau cover do you have? I want to get a CheckMate FX, but I'm going to have to cut the platic part where it goes over the rail closest to the cab to put it on, which kinda sucks..

Message: i believe most any tonneau will work. however u will have to notch out the liner where the clamps are installed to attach the rail. i have the same setup & that's what i've been told when i called around for prices etc. for a soft tonneau i got a quote of $300., & that includes a $20. charge for them to notch out the liner.

Message: KOTAZIM,
Actually my tonneau cover isn't any brand name as it was customer made. It's VERY strong and the pistons are beyond sturdy. Seems most people around here use either Lund or Action tonneau covers and the pistons on those seem very weak to me. My Dad has an Action one on his Chebby and I curse the damn thing for it's weak pistons. I have pictures of my truck last summer at http://www.geocities.com/sugar_buzz01 but unfortunately you can't see the tonneau cover very well. I'll be sure to get some better pictures once the 8 feet of snow melts.
Regards,
Aaron

Message: i have an ARE fiberglass cover and i love it, the color matches perfect and it also has the same body line to match the hood. the pistons on mine work great and it also has the lift assit brackets which opens the cover to 45 degrees which is higher then most. it cost me $700 installed.

Message: I'm not looking in to a hard tonneau. I just want a regular snap down soft tonneau or a roll up type that will work with an over the rail bed liner. I don't need to spend $700 on something like that. That would limit what I could put in the back anyhow.

Message: That is the one thing I don't like about the hard tonneau cover. If I ever need to move anything around, it better be small enough to fit in the small box the Dakota has. That's the one thing I miss about the full size Ram I had, the box height was more giving. Oh well, the price you pay to getter better mileage and better looks.
