i am awaiting the arrival of my new Dakota CC R/T and its starting to piss me off!!!!
i called the dealership on FEB 2nd and they told me my truck had been built. the shipping date was JAN 30th. he tells me i should have it within 7 days from that shipping date. today is the 11th of FEB, so thats 12 days later. i went to the dealership and they dont know where it is. all they know is it has been shipped from the factory.
it pissed me off because it doesnt have to be shipped across the counrty, i live a few hours away from where they are built. how in the f*ck does it take 2 weeks to ship a truck that is like under 3 hours away??????

Mine was built in Dec. You should have an order number. Call Chrysler and they can give you a VIN from the order #. Then call the RR company and you can get the car and location. That's what I did.

Wow, thats an ignorant response if I ever heard one.
The truck is over 12 days late from the time the dealer told him it would arrive, and the dealer apparently isn't offering answers. I believe he has every right to be a little upset, it -is- a fairly large chunk of money he's spending.

Think of it like this. If I mail a letter to my next door neighbor. A guy in a truck has to come get it, take it back to the post office. It gets sorted, put back in the same guy's truck. He then delivers it to my neighbor 1 to 2 days later. This is a somewhat simplistic example, but there is a certain bureaucracy involved. I'm not saying it doesn't suck. I bet if you told them to forget it, you're going to go buy a Ford, they would be able to find it quickly. By the way rice a roni, when did bin laden become a communist?

i know it takes time.
my salesman told me "since i have been here (at the dealership) i see the vehicle in about 7 days, 10 days at the max from the DC factory ship date"
well, its now 13 days and counting.......
it pisses me off because my current car (93 cougar) is sitting in my garage. the alternator is almost shot. its makin noises and doesnt work once in a while. im trading it in and i dont want the alt to totally die before then. i could drive it, but i dont want to take the chance. im only getting $1000 for it. and im not spending another $100 for a new alternator. so its parked until trade in! its not gonna be my problem when it gets on their lot! so basically i dont have any transportation. i need my truck!!!

Go to a junkyard and yank the alt off of a Tbird or Cougar. Don't buy the thing brand new if you're going to just trade it in.
