un plug 2 cylinders!
just kidding lol

you can start by geting rid of a few things that can cause "dirty air". a term used to describe unorganized air molecules, in the form of turbulence. this turbulence well cause poor fuel economy, and power loss.

my V-6 2000 is a little rough ,but a small $1.99 fix helped some
the bolt that holds the top hat on the throttle body has to go .if its like mine it well actually be 2 bolts with a piece of steel ,a long carriage bolt, the plate, then the bolt that holds it to the throttle body. take it out.
take a piece of threaded rod and bend it so that it can be used to replace the old hold down ,no sharp angles, just kinda roll it shape, gentle bends.
reason for this is that if you look down over the throttle body with the old hold down there you well notice that the plate over hangs just slightly into the venturi's, this causes turbulence around the venturis and in the intake manifold.
next in the top hat itself you well find a plastic partition in it. about 1-2 inches long and about 1 in high. remove the tophat from the rest of the breather assembly ,take your side cutters and cut it out, smooth it out a little if you can,
that partition is thin enough that it moves with a gentle push, its garrenteed to vibrate when the engine goes under load and the rpms go up .
this to well cause turbulence around the venturi's and in the intake

thats about all you can do before paying out a few more bucks for some other mods. but give it a shot.
