ok so today was a snow day right ... well this am I shoveled the driveway so I'd have access to my wife's fwd jetta so I could go get some baby formula. Anyhow, as you can imagine my 00' R/T was imobile heh (yeah yeah pipe in now others with the 4.7/5.2 that when you were thinking about a truck you really wanted an rt but couldnt swing the cash and now you make excuses and say things like my 4x4 is holding me down) ... so on the way home I stop at popyes to grab a 5 strip piece with cajun honey, there great but here's the thing .. suddenly this mx6 rolls up behind me with the BRIGHT red windsheild replacement lights glaring right on my ass. THEN he revs his black -n- decker as if to say "move ahead now" .. I couldn't believe it, oh GOD I wish I was in my truck, anyhow it's given me new distaste to ghetto ricers (not ricers, I own a 01' yamaha yzf r1 and crave a tt supra) so anyhow you know who I'm talking about, so where I'm going with this is skrew them lil' bastards. I'm going to smoke every one I can on the street, they will respond with n2o, wreck horribly and die I'm thinking ...

get off the r/t wannabe crap.there are plenty of 4.7rc with a 5 speed and 3:92 that are not wishing they had a r/t.they just see those in the rear view mirror!

You could not pay me to drive a vechile with pushrods!!! I like my pushrods less 4.7!!!! If they made a pushrodless 5.9 then I would buy an R/T but until then they can keep em on the lot!! The only problem my 4.7 has is some milky foam in the oil fill area. I can live with that to not have to worry about belly pan gasket, head gasket, intake gasket, timeing cover leaks; adjusting bands on the transmission ever 30,000 miles; over heating issues and excessive oil usage issues........ No thanks. I will say that the new 5.7 looks promising inspite of the push rods. But I would rather it be overhead cam.

HHHMMMM Dude I hate to tell you this but my SLT 4x4 was abotu 2300$ more than what I could have a RT for. Its not like the RT is 30K you can pick one up for 20 if you know how to deal with the dealer. besides a 4x4 has better resale value than a 2 wheel drive and i prefer a truck that can tow more than 2000 pounds
