 Subject: 01 RT Shifting Problem

Ive read past posts on this problem, but never got an exact answer. from a low speed if i hit the gas hard, the tranny doesnt shift into second until after it hits the rev limiter. now i plan on taking it to the dealer considering it should be covered under warantee, i just wanted to see if anyone knew the exact cause of this, thanks.

something about some kind of sensor, I think it's in the tranny, I dunno, I don't drive an auto, but read about it alot here. Do a search, and I think Speedtweaks tips and tricks site had something on it.

They 01s had a batch of bad valve bodies, I had mine replaced at the dealer and the problem was fixed.

if there are no other mechanical problems then more than likely its the governor pressure sensor/transducer on the side of the valve body. its a warrantable item also.
