Subject: Gen III seat-bracket trim IP: Logged
Message: When I was installing all of my stereo gear, I had to "gut" the interior, and I noticed when I removed the bucket seats, there was a plastic trim piece that covered the seat-bolts that runs along the right side of the seat, just under the cushion - on the passenger-side, but it was "missing" from the driver-side (the screw-holes are there).
I went to the dealer, and (get this!)....
NONE OF THE DAKOTAS HAVE THE DRIVER-SIDE TRIM!!
I checked a half-dozen trucks. This is absolutely LUDICROUS! Why in the world would they do this? That's kinda like giving you ONE power window or THREE alloy wheels.
I didn't bother asking if I could order one. The salesgeek claims that they DON'T come with the truck, and I'm NOT gonna pay for one.
BTW... if it were a cost consideration, then I wonder why my truck came with a alloy SPARE?
Unbelievable.

Message: Try cruising through a few dodge wrecking yards ,that's where I got mine from, color matched great. Your truck is new ,but some parts may not have changed.
