Message: I participated in the group buy for this intake system and here are my thoughts for those interested.
I. Ordered Thursday. Arrived at my work on Tuesday.
II. Inspected product. Paint peeling on the tube. Tube does not have a "shiny aluminum look".
III. The instructions could have had a bit more detail (pictures) as the tube placement was a little confusing a first.
IV. The supplied clamps were not strong enough, but that is probably due to me tightening too much.
V. Started the motor and it sounds the same except for a "sucking" noise. (no...not my old lady)
VI. Drove it down the street. Stopped at the stop sign. Got on the gas more than normal upon crossing the intersection to test it out and DAMN! Almost pissed my pants. I had no idea that a mod intake could sound like so...so...THROATTY.
In closing, besides the trivial issues mentioned above, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! I thank Steve in SinCity for getting it together as well as 360airintakez for the product.

Message: Same here, very pleased. It does make it sound MEAN !!! Only problem for me is the cheap aluminum heat sheild broke. But I'm going to be building a new one out of some higher strength material. Would anybody else be interested ??? I know a few of the intakes do not come with them.

Message: Love mine too,,,got it about a year ago before they did the cool ceramic 'shiny' coating on it, but I am nothing but pleased with it.
Having that intake and my exhaust dumped straight down out of the muffler gives my truck an intimidating rumble you can hear equally well in any direction. :)

Message: I've got a V8. However, on a V6, the results should be significant due to the increased volume of air. If anything, the benefits in mpg should be enough to justify the expense.

Message: www360airintakez.com states that up to 3.5mpg increases can be acheived. However, that depends on how you drive. I filled my tank on the day I changed the intake (2 days ago) and currently im averaging 12.7. I want to hear the roar too much. Hopefully I will get past that and return to normal driving.

Message: Very noticable throttle response difference. I have the original 4.7L model though so I can't speak for the new ones. Mine has the K&N filter with 3" painted tubing instead of 3.5" ceramic coated tubing with S&B filter.
I'd get the new one but from what I have heard they are working on a entirely new design for the 4.7L Dak. Hopefully it will resemble the 4.7L Ram intake but with a ceramic coated heat sheild. Then i'll buy a new one.

Message: The group buy is still continuing... Joe recently dropped his prices in general, and the group buy is another 12% off of the new figures (comes out to around 15-20% off of what they cost in 2002)
