I assume you're talking about the "cap" that is the same height as the cab? That is a Can-Back(? I think that's the name?). It's got a really solid frame and canvas that can be pulled really tight around it. You can roll up the sides for a "Safari" type vehicle, or you can take it off all together. You can also add accessories like a light bar, or a Yakima roof rack.

Yeah thats a can-back my friend is actually an authorized dealer for them, and he gave me a big packet on them. Im sure if you want his email I can give it to you i know that he has all the stuff for them. The cool part i like about em is that you can put a roof rack on top of the whole thing.

That canback does look really good on the dakota though. Seeing that kinda makes me want to buy one. But i looked and they are like 7-800 bucks for the quad cab. Maybe we could get a group discount if enough of us buy one.
