i bought my Moss Green Dakota in Nov 96, and am considering getting wheel flares....but every dealer i go to says i cant get Moss Green wheel flares....
any suggestions?

How about ordering white painted fender flares and see if the Service dept (or have them outsource it, they may already do this for painting) and paint to match the factory color based on your paint code?

If I remember correctly, moss green was the green used on the 2nd Generation Dakotas, replaced by the current generation's forest green pearl coat. Getting the color should not be a problem...the paint code should be listed on a sticker in the glove box or maybe under the hood. Any competent paint shop would be able to get the paint and repaint them. I think the problem might be the fender flares themselves. I can't ever remember seeing a 2nd generation Dakota with factory fender flares, even a 4X4. Were fender flares a factory option?

Aaahhh - My original message was confusing....
In Nov 96, I ordered and received a 97 Dakota - the first year of the Gen 3 Dakotas....
I always thought that moss green was the same as forest green - never thought to check the paint code....Ill have to check this out....

The GenIIs had factory flares but they are black plastic, not body color. I have them on my truck.
