Message: but have you ever seen, or driven a Honda S2000?
The most HP/L of a NA engine in the world!
It won't really tow anything. But stock 2L, gets 240hp @8300 rpm. Redline is 8900! All mated to a six speed manual. My friend has one, this thing is awesome, only weighs 2200lbs!

I almost sat in one at the last auto show. Almost because I couldn't swing my knees around in the car.

Message: I've been in one, you have to keep that thing in the upper rev's or else it doesn't really have much. Don't get me wrong if i was given one i wouldn't turn it down.

Message: i love those cars but waterpolo has a point. you have to keep them in high revs to get up and go. ohh and at 140mph they are LOUD!!! but i would still buy one if the price was right.

Message: I can sum that car up in 3 words. Fun,Fun,&Fun. I drove one once. It handles like the tires are made of superglue.

Message: I can tell you guys another car that's just about as much fun as that. Mercedes SLK 230. My brother purchased one last year when he got back off his first cruise. Thing handles better than anything I've ever driven. It's not really the fastest in the world, but it's plenty quick enough. It will do every bit of 155 MPH, too. You can do a U turn and it will turn into the lane immediately next to you! Freakin' crazy! Never driven a car that turns like that thing.

Message: Well, those S2000 are nice litlle cars but they
miss some torque. I recently test drove the
new Alfa Romeo 147 GTA (size similar as an
Audi S3) with the 3.2L V6 250 HP matted with
a 6 speed tranny - This car has some balls...
and torque. You can drive in town in 4-5 speed
with no prob. Not to mention a very pleasant
loud sound coming from the exhaust , you turn
the key and you know what's under the hood.
And it's cheaper than the Honda and has 5
seats...

Message: Vortech offers a blower for the S2000. Theres a little torque for ya. I'd be damn skippy with over 300hp in a car that weighs around 2500lbs.

And another thing that was really funny about the S2000. I am not lying, I saw one in Australia TOWING a jet ski. I was laughing my arse off...

Not many Dakota around here, Durango's are
more common.
Here the S2000 is very expensive ~$37'000
when the Alfa 147 GTA is around $30'500, still
cheaper than the Audi S3

Message: As far as the s2000 towing things....
My friend I'm talking about I met sailing. I sail and avidly race catamarans. These are beach cats that are towed on a trailer to the sailing site.
He pulls his Hobie 18 & trailer with it. probably 1000+ lbs total.

Message: Superbee the BMW's and MB's are all electronically limited to 155 MPH by their manufacturers. You can, of course, get this limiter removed by ECU upgrades/enhancements. And no, Porsche isn't always the best handling car in the world. The SLK 230 has the same overall ability. Check it's skidpad/slalom results. It's beaten quite a few Porsche's. Don't get me wrong, I love just about any Porsche model, but this SLK can compete (not in HP/TQ with just the SLK 230, though). The SLK 320 AMG on the other hand is an absolute beast. 4.5 0-60 and under 9 seconds for 0-100...what a monster!
