Subject: Limited slip diff install IP: Logged
Message: I have an uninstalled factory LSD (it bolts to the ring gear). Are any special tools (beyond a torque wrench and feeler gauge) needed to install it in a '92 Dakota (5.2 RWD) differential?

Message: yup
you well need a special tool to preload the diff bearings this tool goes down the axle tube to a locking nut in the differential case, a dial indicator to get the ring gear backlash set,
its not very DIY friendly, considering if its not done right youll lose the rear end
