Message: I have a 2002 V6 that makes a whistling noise (vacuum) after warming up and when I'm cruising between 60 - 70 mph and reving between 1500 - 2000rpm. The sound changes with acceleration or decceleration and will stop if slowing down enough. I never heard it idling or crusing town.
I haven't taken it to the shop yet as I figured I'll get the usual "We didn't hear it"

Message: Are you from California? We've seen this exhast pipe whistler you guys are putting on, does it go:'Whhooop, Whhoooopppp'?
J/K
I'd make sure the connections to the air intake aren't leaking. Near me, they drive it with you, and you can get it to make the sound.
Good luck

Message: I had the same noise problem with my 2001 v6 and was told it was just the whistling of the intake. I got a cold air intake and the noise stopped.

Message: Last winter I got it a lot on acceleration but after I installed a cold air intake it disappeared almost entirely. I think it's done it once this winter. It never happened in warm weather.
Has to be something with the OEM airbox and cold air.

Message: i posted about the same exact situation a couple days ago and im convinced its air being sucked in through my cone air filter on my aftermarket air intake, some have told me it went away after replacing their throttle body.
