I believe there is a place in kitchener that has a chassis dyno. I'll have to find the name. They are at the moparfest every year in new hamburg. I'm looking to have mine done too so keep me informed if you find anything.

Try calling Legendary Motor Car in Milton. I don't think they have one, but they would know who does. They dyno those cars they restore on TV somewhere.

If you live near kitchener there's a place called forest and forest racing on Shoemaker(sp???) they have a chassis dyno.

ya i'm close to kitchener that sounds great....i found a place in scarborough called dyno power services 416-752-3966...$60for 3 pulls and if you go back its $50 thereafter..

That sounds really reasonable. I think most places are around $100 aren't they? There is a place here (Peterborough) but I am not sure what they charge.

Interesting about Dyno Power Services. I used them a couple of years ago and when I went to contact after last year's track season I got no response to my messages. I then went searching for another dyno shop and found out that there had been a change in ownership. Do you know if the shop is still operating?

All 3 tracks have a mopar day. TMP and St. Thomas have not put out their schedules yet but the one at Grand Bend is spread over 2 days. July 5 is the show & tell day with t&t runs at night and July 6 is the race day. I'm aiming to be there July 6.
TMP is the track closest to me. I'm thinking of running in their Street ET bracket class this year. If not, I'm usually there on fair weather days.

I just found out that TMP's opening is tentatively set for Sat. Apr. 5 and their points, non-import bracket races have been switched back to Sundays this season. Hope I see you there sometime. I'm racing a 97 Flame Red club cab.

For 14 sec. and slower, nothing is needed except long pants, no tank tops and no sandals. You pay at the gate and tell them if you'll test & tuning or bracket racing. If bracket racing, which class. 14 sec. and slower is ET Street. If you're not changing anything (e.g. to drag tires, etc.), fill out the card that they give you and head over to the tech area.

ticats...thats awsome! what class do you run? also by then i should have my k&nfipk and a jet chip stage 2....not sure what kinda time the truck would run but i figure in the 14's...low 15's never done this stuff before but i want to really bad..hope ui can use your knowledge to guide me along

If I decide to enter the track's points series, it'll be ET Street (14 and slower). My pb is 14.313 @ 95.92.
I'd suggest that you do test & tune until you get comfortable with what your Dak can do and launching from a tree.
Be more than glad to pass along what I know. Main thing is to have fun :-)

There is a truck show in Kitchener/Waterloo every year in august, called the northern nationals or something. It takes place at "burd's" family event park, i think that is what it is called, it something like that it starts with a "B" anyway. There was an old army tank on display right beside the park. I don't know any st. names sorry Its by the Canadian tire. Anyway they have a chassis dyno on a trailer there every year. and a sweet wet t shirt, but that's another story

Cayuga is fun- you'll have a riot ShortSport. I was the slowest thing there the last time we met up, but I had a great time. It's good practice for when I get my engine swap - if I ever do. It's been way too cold to pick up the ratchets. ;)
Also - Shannonville is adding extra Test & Tune days this year, it's closer for me than Cayuga or St. Thomas.

If you are close to kitchener and looking for a stage II jet chip i got one for ya!!! we can work out a really good deal. i am installing a kenne bell charger and can't use my chip with that setup. They reprogram my computer anyway. I'll look for your reply then give ya my number so ya can call me.

razor..that sounds really good and thanks for the offer.....but, i just convinced the wife to let me get the fipk which by the way is not yet made for 02 however the rep at k&n said around april...i thought you could order one because 01 has them but thier are differances and he says the won't fit ...go figure...anyway if you still have it when i'm done begging the wife i will post for you. lets keep our fingers crossed

how's $150 sound Short Sport... It's funny you have to clear it with the wife cuz I bought mine used off a guy who's wife lost it when she heard he bought the chip....I only paid 200... he was happy to get any money back.. and his wife off his..LOL... only one problem though.... you have a 5 speed, mines auto... not sure if it's the same chip??? Let me know what ya think....

Dyno Power Services is one of the cheaper dyno places to go to and basically... you get what you pay for. The facility is trashy and the machine is inaccurate (even though it is a Dynojet) and the owner, Jeff isn't the brightest bulb in the room, if you know what I mean. He really doesn't know much about his dyno himself and the last straw was when I booked an appointment with him, drove in 130kms to Scarborough to dyno and he never showed up and never called me back. That is no way to run a business.
TAG Motorsports in Oakville has a Dynojet as well and they have a group rate of $55 for a full hour and you get as many runs as you want (you don't really need any more than 4). Dyno Power Services tries to push you out within 30 min and a couple of runs.
Forrest and Forrest sounds like a good shop but they are way too expensive - $115 + tax for only 3 pulls of HP only. DPE Motorsports had a dyno (might still have it) but they are getting rid of it, the last I heard.
Hope I was able to help you guys out here.
Who am I? I'm a member of the Maxima club. I set up the dyno days typically and have experience with almost all the dyno shops in the area, in some manner.
