I kinda got the same problem. I'll be driving at night with my head lights on and after 20-25 minutes, my gauge lights and head lights begin to flash.

Hey, I found a temporary fix. I changed out the head light switch ($15 at O'reilly) but it lasted about 2 months then started doing it again. Now I bought another and it stopped for the time being.

Check the relay box. I don't know if there is a relay for the headlights, but my elecric fan was doing the same thing. Look for a relay and replace it

Same problem here with the flashing lights after the truck runs for a little while. Did anyone get a definate answer on this? I pulled the switch and a relay, and they still flashed. They continued to flash after the truck was shut off. After it cools down they are fine until it heats up.

Any other ideas???

I had the same problem about 6 months ago. the headlights would just shut off going down the interstate. I pulled the switch one night and it was really really hot. So, I replaced it for about $37 @ Advance Auto and it solved the problem. Maybe try a better switch, other than the $15 one.

So I went out and bought a new headlight switch for my 2001 v8 club cab. I drove it for about 20 minutes, and like clockwork, all the lights started flashing again (headlights, dash lights, dome lights). I continued driving around for about 15 more minutes and it just got worse. They would flash so fast after a half hour that it was almost like the lights were not even on. Good thing they were old country roads and not many people travel them. This is getting rather frustrating. I can't even return the switch because of no electrical parts returns. Any other ideas. Now that I'm out the money for the switch I didn't need, I really don't want to take the truck in. Please Help...

Final verdict on mine --$290 for a central timer module installed. Three years old, I love it.

Had the same problem with the flickering lights.
Problem kept getting worse. Then the keyless entry wouldn't work. One dealer said it was the light switch, but there were to many things happening to be just the light switch. Second dealer said the Central Timer Module.($280.00). I was 7 days past warranty but 3000 miles under so they offered to give me the part if I would pay for installation. Problem solved.
The CTM is located behind the drivers side kick panel.
