Anyone back me up on this one.....EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Be honest with ya i think the dakota looks good just like it is. Add the Hemi and a Diesel model and leave the body alone.

out of all the new trucks it doesn't look so bad IMO. But then again I plan on having my dakota til it dies then getting a full size 4 door 4x4 and getting a sports car for fun.

The interesting thing about this photo is that...well, it's not a photo. It's modified picture of a Ram SRT-10 that mated with the new Durango concept.
They just added the front of the Durango concept to a Ram SRT-10. So, don't worry that this is going to be final design.
Hi, my name is a photoshopped picture, and I am fake.
See the resemblence? The pic above even has the same rear wheels and the SRT-10 badge.
And here's the Durango concept that they got the front end from.

71% of their "Buzz" forum (They're buzzed on what?) said they "Love it!"?
Maybe next time they should ask on the Dakota forum?
I don't "Love It!", in fact, I think it was a horrible thing to do to a good-looking truck.
Why can't Dodge realize that many people liked the looks of the Ram and Dakota the way they are and leave well enough alone?
Now the Ram looks like a whale-shark (look it up) with that big, gaping "mouth" in front (and my wife even says the tires look rediculously small on that platform), and now they want to screw the Dak just as bad?
Pitiful!
some of ya might like this, but personally, when my current Dak is finally dead, I'm probably going back to Jeep, or I'll find another older Dak. Modern designers are obviously not very well trained (IMHO - just look at the Aztech/Avalanche!).

I like the concept. It's time for the Dakota to get a change. I knew they weren't going to use an entirely different platform for the Dakota, even though it's going to be closer to the size of a Ram. It would have cost them millions upon millions to re-tool and such (not to mention R/D). All in all, I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by the new Dak.

Don't believe everything you read on that Buzz forum. You'll see the hemi in the dakota sooner rather than later and that is not the final product design either. All the "artist" had to do was the same thing that some people did in the members section on this site. Start with the durango concept and photoshop the "cap" off and change the rear doors.

I think it's funny how the huge proportions of the new Ram make the rims look so small. Those are 22s it's sitting on. They look like 18s or something.
