Comming home from work yesturday the guy in front of me stopped for a cop flashing his cherries. The lady behind me, who works at the same hosp. must not have been paying attention and I feel a "tap" just a "tap" barely perceptible I go backand the plastic under the bumper has a couple of scratches-that's it! The Beemer lost the grill, bumper, radiator, the entire corner and lt. front fender. Just a tap! Must be all that energy absorbing crap! I didn't want to make a claim-have my ins go up besides I have a $1000 deductable-and the sctatches are barely noticible!

thats a victory for the big guy. oh well, i still think american cars are better than imported 'luxury sedans'...screw em if they cant take a joke.
i hope i either never find out how my truck will do in a crash, or hope i get lucky like you...a kid that i go to school with just had his halo taken off (that huge metal contraption that screws into your skull and shoulders *or neck i dont know* after you almost break your neck) after getting in an accident with a CIVIC. that little piece of jap crap hit him in an intersection, spun him around backwards into a cement store sign. no airbags or anything...hope he was just unlucky.

If she hit you, your rate shouldn't change at all, at least not if you have State Farm, American Family, or another quality insurance company.
If ya can, go make a claim. Even if you arn't going to fix it, you are entitled to the costs it would cost to fix it. You may ask why ... because your resale value went down. At least that's what my agent has told me.

its been my experience that insurance companies dont care whose fault it is...otherwise every time you get a ding in a parking lot or a rock hits a headlight, people would be respraying their cars.
dr q - i hope when you were driving home from the accident, you busted out the old queen cd and sang along....

Yeah..If she hit you, her insurance pays. So far I've collected $1040.00 from rearenders. Both times were morons in rice. One Camray and a POS CRX and both wanted to settle without getting the insurance companies involved. To replace the bumper costs 540.00, and thats what they paid. Now the best part was both times it too me about 1/2 hour to sand and repaint the bumper. That was the all the damage to mine. The Camray needed a bumper, hood and left front fender. The CRX, well pretty much a new clip. The poor SOB was tailgateing me all the way through town. As I came up to a red light, I just shifted into low and eased out the clutch and BONK! The idiot said he never saw my brake lights...no kidd'n !!!!!!
