Subject: The best time to paint IP: Logged
Message: Wanted to know if the winter months (cold weather months) was a good time to paint my Dakota. Or does a paint job cure better during warmer temperatures.
Thanks,

Message: Whatever type or brand of paint you use, do it EXACTLY as the manufacture recommends. Most paints cannot be applied below 59 degrees, or if the humidity is high (causes "blushing"). The best place would in in a warm room that is as dust free as possible. Just follow their direction to the letter. Make sure you use the proper respirator for the product. Check the msds avaiable at the paint store.

Message: I work in a body shop and when the guys paint cars/parts they leave inside for a few days just to make sure everything sets fine. That is in a 70 degrees shop after baking in a professional paint booth. By the way im in WI where as of now its 1 degrees out.
