Just wanted to post some info for yall to read up on if you want. I am a new member here and wanted to share with you the background of my family's business and how I can be of a service to you in the future.
In 1987 my dad started UltraSeal, Inc. We are a business that deals primarily with automotive castings and also electroplate electrical terminal......(if you look inside the engine bay on your dak and see the ring terminals holding wires to the firewall, I plated those things with tin!!!!!!!!)
Anyways, the process we do is misunderstood by all, we do a process called vacuum impregnation, now over the years, we have had women call and want us to untie their tubes, but we dont do that, we seal porosity in all metal castings. Not many people know this, but when metal castings are cast, there is air bubbles that infiltrate the molten metal and form microscopic pores in the casting. When the castings are pressure tested and if they leak, they are sent to us. we place them in an autoclave an pull a vacuum to about 9 Torr (9 mm/hg) and pour over a liquid sealant which fills these pores.....further processing hardens the resin and the porosity ceases to exist. this proves to be a cost effective solution/alternative to scrapping. we do a lot of work for ford suppliers (ford intakes of all kinds, new ecotec GM intakes, corvette oilpans, gm vortec oil pans and a multitude of misc. castings for companies such as melling and eaton(lightning supercharger housings)......I was just thinking that i would tell you about what i do and if you would ever like anything impregged, contact me....whenever material is removed i.e. porting/polishing, pores withing the material are opened up and prone to leaking. btw, the resin is heat resistant to temeratures near 500 degrees. Sorry if this sounds pointless, but I figure it would provide some good reading for those who wanted a little worthless info........peace

Thanks, we've been using the same process from Imprex for 20+ years, works great.

We're an OEM supplier to the Big Three. That is kinda funny, if you're not in the industry you'd have no idea.
