 Subject: anyone w/ 4x4, 5.9L, 3.92's

I would like to ask a favor of all that have a Dakota with a 5.9L, 4x4, and 3.92 axle ratio. Please include what size tire you have as well, because this plays a part in what I need. What rpm is your truck at when doing 65 or 70 (please specify which) mph? Thanks in advance.

I have a 99' Dakota 4X4 but it's only a 3.9L V6 but at 65 or 70 she runs at 2100-2400 RPM in O/D. Sorry I cna't help!!

In O/D with the TC locked out. You should be able to cruise down the HWY at about 1700 RPM's.
I got a 318 4x4 Dakota that revs just under 2000 RPMs at 65.

I have '02 QC 4X4 SLT 5.9 3.92axle 16"wheels. At 70mph I tach out at approx. 2k rpms. If you don't mind me asking, whats the issue?

MJ - I think he wants your tire size, not your wheel size.
Troy - I have a 5.9, 4x4, 3.92's, 31 inch tires (technically 30.6 inches according to Goodyear's site). I'll get you those rpm figures on my way home from work and post them for you tonight.
