Subject: signal light trouble IP: Logged
Message: i have a 93 dakota 2wd le and i bought it used about a year ago. in the last few months my signal lights have been screwing up. When i start my truck and first start driving it the signal lights work fine but after awhile they slow between blinks and sometimes even quit working. Have any of you had this problem before and what have you done to fix it? thanks for any input.

Message: make sure that they are only blinking slow ,and not all the exterior lights dimming and brightening with the exception of the head lamps.if they are clean up the chassis grounds under the hood. if they are not its probably a bad capacitor in the flasher ,replace the flasher

Message: thanks. i have changed the flasher. Is it possible that my towing plugin at the back of my truck could be the problem? thanks

Message: yes it could if the trailer lights were connected . but to rule that out remove it from the system to eliminate that possability ,
