Message: Hope I can get some help on a couple problems I'm having.
1st. Someone stole my spare tire. Never had to use it or really look at it. Just noticed it wasn't there one day. So I need to buy a new one. Was it a full size spare. I was thinking of buying a stock rim off e-bay. Or do I need a smaller one
2nd. In the morning up here in cold MI. It drives like it has a slipping clutch, Granted its an automatic but I don't know how to descibe that other than it feels like a slipping clutch. Transmission fluid is ok. It just will rev up when I'm trying to go somewhere and it won't go, and when it shifts it revs up before grabbing the next gear. But after it warms up the problem goes away.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Message: Sorry to hear about your spare getting stolen. Theres an engineer where I work who had a wheel stolen off his car right in our parking garage the other day; they left the car on a jack. (Its funny, but at the same time its not.) Yes the spare is a full size. A stock rim will do just fine. Best bet would be to use the same kind of tire as what you're running now too.

Message: Go to a junk yard for the spare. I collected 3 more spares to use as winter tires. This is much easier than buying a rim and mounting a tire.

Message: Your 2nd "problem" is normal. It takes a while for the fluid to warm up and the noise to go away. Listen to the ford exploders and jeep cherokees. They make the same noise.

Message: Yeah, the trans fluid when cold doesn't flow too well, which causes sluggish solenoid and governor operation. I would seriously look into a block heater of some kind (there're even "dipstick" heaters which require no tools to instal); this would allow faster warm-up to operating temp because the engine won't be so cold.
