Subject: 5.2 turbo IP: Logged
Message: anyone ever put a turbo on a 5.2. I'm putting a 5.2 in my truck and I'm thinkin about maybe riggin up a turbo on it. Just a thought for now but if you have any ideas or advice I would appreciate it.

Message: Instead of a turbo with all the exhaust system work, a supercharger ("blower") works well. Also available for many engines (sorry, don't know for sure for 5.2's) is a belt-driven half of a turbo. It's cheaper (smaller and less machining), doesn't mess with the exhaust, and doesn't take up all the top-of-block space a blower takes. I've seen them advertised for Ford boat engines, but I haven't looked for Chrysler engines yet.
