Me being a mopar fan, its hard to admit that the Ford lightning is faster, but it is not as fast as most people bring it up to be. A stock Standard cab R/T, with good tracktion, will keep with a pre 2001 lightning pretty well untill about 80mph. Also remember that the lightning is nearly double the price. And its equiped with a supercharged and intercooled 5.4 L, makes 360(99-00)hp / 380(2001+)hp at the crank and 440(99-00)lb-ft / 450(2001+)lb-ft of torque, But Dodge refuses to use anyhting but Natural aspiration on thier HP trucks, hense the ultimate answer, the SRT-10. Now yes, It would be nice to use the Hemi in the new r/t, being that the New hemi motor makes 517 at the rear of a QUAD CAB ram! with 8 lbs of boost, and an intercooler. So in a standard cab dakota, would put an impressive amount of HP down to the road. And even in N/A tune, the Hemi motor, with its 345hp and 375 ft lbs of torque would Make the dakota, the fastest street production truck. Now as for handling, the dakota has taken the cake, I've done my own personal tests, and the dakota out performs the Lightning by far. But then again, You also will be having a lot more problems with the lightning, being that I now own one, I found out the hard way. If you have the money to modify the problems out of the truck, its not a bad way to go, for now, the only things leaving my garage are the Hemi ram and the dakota!

No unfortunitly, Not at this time. I do all my work out of South Florida for now, I hope by early next year to have a shop up in Cherry Hill. We are currently working on two other locations as well. As for now I will gladly be as much help as possible for any questions you may have.

Ive read about the new 04' SVT Lightning....with 500hp and 500 lb-ft torque nothing can handle it.....being both vehicles stock, that darnd ole dirty greasy engine cant hold a candle to the new Ford

The '04 SVT Lightning is the exact same thing as the 2003 model. You're thinking about the upcoming 2005 Lightning...

The ford Lightning will smoke the dodge dakota r/t.Not to get me wrong , but the r/t is still fast, now lets put a supercharger on it ...then lets race the lightning.Im a big dodge fan but i have to say this , the Ford Lightning is the nicest ford truck made

I am a dodge fan all the way, and I know dodge is too proud to put a super charger on the dakota.
I wish they would make atleast one dak with a blower on the hemi or something just to take the attention off the glorified f150.
ford would have nothing with out the special vehicle team.

Why not a Turbo Charged V8?? They make more lowend tourqe than a S.C.
As for the Ford's super truck. I seem to like the Harly Davidson edition. If you own a Harly. Thats what you should have :)

on twin turbo use one small and one big this will decrease turbo lag and help on the top end.is there a twin turbo kit for a 97 dakota 5.2?
