Thursady the body shop will be droping off the Dak. It has been in the shop since Dec. 12 after that accident. Between the 2 week shut down and insurance dragging their feet for a week. It has been too long with out it. Vechiles today maybe safe but so much gets dammaged and needs to be replaced. In addition to sheet metal and plastic exterior piececs. The following interior pieces had to be replaced. Seat belts, seat belt adjusters, anchor bolts, air bag modules, dash pad, part of dash, DRM, clock springs, steering colum had to be sent out and rebuilt(cost half as much as new one). Heck I can remember when none of that had to be changed because they did not exsist. If it took more then a week to get a car that was almost totaled back from the body shop then it ment that the shop takeing too much volume or they did not know what they were doing. It took 3 weeks from the day they pulled the steering collum and shiped it until they got it back from the rebuilders. It took 3 weeks total to get all the parts from Mopar. They were all ordered the same day and the just trickled in. They have had the truck almost done for over a week and a half and have been waiting on seat belts from Mopar. If I had gone with non-OEM parts I could had my truck done in 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. While I am glad that everything was OEM other then rebuilt steering colum I think that says alot when I can get the parts shiped from halfway around the world for less money and in less then a week but can not get the parts shipped to my body shop wich is about 2 hours from where the truck was origanaly assembled in under a 30 days and at 3 times the cost. What is wrong with this picture!!!!
