Subject: heater not working... IP: Logged
Message: I've got a '97 Club Cab 4x4 with a 3.9 auto. The heater is barely working....not good if you live in northern Minnesota. I changed the water pump on it this fall, and I think that that may be when it stopped working. It does put out a little bit of heat, but if the blower is turned up too much (past the second notch) it blows only cold air. It has plenty of antifreeze and the operating temp is fine. I think the heater core may be plugged, or maybe it has an air pocket. Any suggestions?

Message: You will need to flush your heater core. Look at the "Let There Be Heat" post.

Message: Thanks, I found the post and solution from Dan earlier. Drove 3 hours last night....at 5 below outside temp, in the truck was 40 degrees! Will give her a try, let you know if it works......

Message: Wow,
That fix really worked. I'm not sure if I'm more amazed over the ease of it, or the color and consistancy of what came out.
Thanks,
Jeremy
