My 1990 V6 2wd dak is really wanting a V8 swap. At least that is what she tells me all the time. LOL. I have a chance at buying a 1985 Carbed 318 outa a Ram. My truck is EFI. I have heard that crabed engines have more potential for upgrades and are easier to swap in place due to less electrical questions. PLEASE advise me on this. And will this 85 bolt up to my V6 engine mounts? I know the later 80s 318s do but is an 1985 enige consideder a late 80s? Oh and I am also looking at hooken up a 727 tranny to it. Any comments.

Don't know where you are, but some states restrict engine swaps to same year or newer and must be same manufacturer.
Better do some research on that first, or you may have as hard time registering it, especially if your area has very strict emissions testing.
