Subject: 94 Lowering???? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1994 dodge Dakota and I am planning on lowering it. I want to drop the front approximately 2 in. I was looking at many different kits available and have been weighing my options. I have found that most kits come with drop spindles and the stock springs are still used. I felt the ride might not have the racy feel I wanted with the stock springs, so I looked into dropped springs. I am thinking of using a 2 in dropped spring and retaining the stock spindle. Is this ok to do or will it mess up my suspension/ steering geometry. All the kits tend to contain the spindles so I thought that the spindles might be better but I talked to others and they said dropped springs will give the truck a better feel. I am also concerned that the 2 in drop via springs will cause the bumper stop on the A-arm to bottom out prematurely but I am also worried about the tire hitting the inner fender with dropped spindles. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John
