I am looking at purchasing a 94 3.9l 5 speed 4x4 club cab sport. Can anyone tell me a bit about the reliability of this combination or some areas that I should be concerned about.
Thanks
R. Wheeler

I have a similar '94 4x4 club cab sport, except it is an automatic V8. The first 7 years were fantastic with no problems at all. The past year, i've had to have some front end work done on it, and also needed a new radiator. But, that's mostly due to wear and tear as it now has 100,000 miles on it.
The only negative things I have to say about my '94 is that this particular year truck tends to make a "clunking" noise when put into reverse, but I've had absolutely no transmission problems so far. There also is very little space under the hood for mounting a car alarm device. The horn on this year tends to sound a bit wimpy. We attempted to mount a less-wimpy horn, but couldn't find any more room for it under the hood.
The bottom line is that my '94 Dodge has been fantastic!

I have a 94 3.9l 4x4 club cab sport....I love it...this is my first truck. It had a new tranny put in it before I purchased it, the clunking is the same thing that rattles when it is put in gear, which is the tensioner pully...atleast that's what the dealership told me. over all it is a great truck... Also does great in the mud ;)
