Subject: 2001 reverse noise IP: Logged
Message: I have recently puchased a 2001 Dakota 4X4 automatic. In reverse, under acceleration, there is a repetitive ticking coming from under the middle of the floor. I took it to the dealer and got mixed answers. One person said that this is normal and the other wasn't sure but wanted to rip it apart anyways. I eally don't want to be inconvienced or without the vehicle unless absolutely necessary. Any help please!!!!

Message: It could be because you are in between shifts.
It might be halfway in park, I did this once or
twice.
