I have recently puchased a 2001 Dakota 4X4 automatic. In reverse, under acceleration, there is a repetitive ticking coming from under the middle of the floor. I took it to the dealer and got mixed answers. One person said that this is normal and the other wasn't sure but wanted to rip it apart anyways. I eally don't want to be inconvienced or without the vehicle unless absolutely necessary. Any help please!!!!

It could be because you are in between shifts.
It might be halfway in park, I did this once or
twice.
