 Subject: check gauges light

hello i have a 2002 dodge dakota slt quad cab my check gauges light comes on and the truck starts to run hot as im driving when i start to slow down the check gauges light turns off and the tempature of the car becomes normal. what could be the problem?

could be a couple of things:
coolant level low
clutch fan is bad
aux electric fan not coming on when its supposed to.
clogged radiator
waterpump worn out
