Subject: Burning rubber smell IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a 2002 quad cab dakota and after driving for about half an hour I am smelling a burning rubber smell from my front wheel wells. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced a brake hose saying that should fix it but I am still smelling it. Anyone got any suggestions on what it could be?

Message: Take a real close look around your manifolds/ headers and exhaust pipes towards the engine compt. If it's not a short in wiring you should be able to see a hose touching exhaust or close enough to it to over heat
So many problems ... So little time

Message: Could be the heater hose fell off the silly little holder on the valve cover.
When I installed the Gibson headers the passanger side cooked the suspension mount.
