 Subject: Only When Its Hot?

My 2002 Dodge Dakota 4X2 Truck has acted weird twice so far...only when its 90+ degrees and i have the air conditioner on.
The 1st Time - Was running some errands on my way home my truck felt like it had no power over 40mph and the steering wheel was shaking badly. Also...it smelled like something was burning.
The 2nd Time - We were around town finding something to eat and the front end of the truck started to jar and bounce at the same time...I had power but it kept bouncing...it didn’t stop no matter if i was accelerating or not...It also smelled like it was burning.

Certain things burning have certain smells.
Rubber
Brakes
Clutch
Each engine fluid, when overheated, has its own smell.
Wire insulation
Paint
Plastic
Even hot metals have their own smells.
