i have a 2000 dodge dakota sport with the 4.7l ho and the truck has been wrecked but was fixed i have noticed when i creep over a hole or go down a bumpy road that there is a rattle on the passenger side and i can not figure out what it is i checked the ball joints ,shocks, cab mount bushing just about everything i could think of and i still cant figure out what it is does anyone have an idea of what this might be?

check the front brake pad clips, they rust off and the pad rattles against the rotor. Go over a bump and put the brakes on, the rattle will probably disappear.

Check out the emergency cable adjuster located on outside of frame just under the drivers door. Mine knocked occasionally for a year and drove me crazy. The rubber grommets on the cable had slipped back and the bracket was knocking on the frame.
