 Subject: 98 sport ,P0306 code

hey co-owners,
my 98 sport has 140,000 miles.it has been a good
truck so far.it has been throwing a 306 code.
the book says misfire on cyl.6,but why?the plugs
all looked the same.i replaced all,plugs,wires,
cap,and rotor.i reset the engine light,but it
came back on,and was a 306 again.the truck seems
to run fine,but has started idling a little rough.
originaly that was the first thing i noticed,just
before the first check engine light came on.what
else could cause a misfire?i drive this truck
seventy miles a day so i am stresed out.any advice
outthere? thanks in advance, tony...........

first off, you should post this in the nV6 section. you will get more responses than here. second, do a compression check on the motor. if comp is even between all cylinders, try changing that #6 plug and or wire. or check #6 injector and or wiring to the injector.
