Just found this buttletin while checking for something for a customer. I was unaware that a bulletin had been released with this info. Posted if anyone needs the info to help with dealership transactions. I am sparing the details of the bulletin because it simply goes into the procedure used for replacement.

Upper Ball Joint Extended Warranty
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting and if necessary replacing the upper ball joints.
NOTE: The upper ball joint warranty period has been extended to 10 years or
100,000 miles. Refer to Warranty Bulletin D-04-34 for complete details.
MODELS:
2000 - 2003 (AN) Dakota 4x2
2000 - 2003 (DN) Durango 4x2
NOTE: This bulletin applies only to the above vehicles built through December 31,
2002 (MDH 1231XX).

AN is a model code that denotes Dakotas of model years 1997 thru 2004.
