Subject: Growling Noise IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 QC, 4.7
I had a growling noise from the rear end for a number of years? It occurs only after I've driven the car for several miles, and only after I come to a compete stop, then make a left or right turn from that stop. If the truck is moving and I make the turn then there isn't any noise or if I let the truck roll 10 feet from the stop then make the turn then there isn't any noise either.
Does anyone have an idea what makes this noise.
Thank
Mike

Message: I had the same problem. The first thing is do you have a factory limited slip or not. If you do, there is an additive for the limited slip from dodge that you need to add, about $6.00. if not that, the limited slip is bad. When mine did it, it was under warranty, but the limited slip was broke in two pieces in the housing. The bill was around $1000.
