Subject: help wont start IP: Logged
Message: my 94 3.9 v6 dodge dak wont start and i did check code and code 4-2 came up. code 4-2 is automatic shutdowm relay driver circut. what is wrong and how do i fix it ???
any help is appreciated

Message: There seems to be a common problem with corrosion of a factory splice that powers the ASD relay (among other crucial components). It's a three-way splice in a wrapped wire bundle under the fuse box. Tearing apart this wire bundle didn't fix my problem - mine wasn't corroded. Search for more on the splice; there are lots of threads on this.

Message: I had a problem with my truck wanting to shut off abou once a month or so and "no bus" would show up in the odometer and the after a few minutes it would start again, well I found out that the PCM (computer) was going out and the thing is under warranty untill 80,000.
