I have a dodge dakota 2004 with 3.7L engine and 5 speed trans, my up shift light on the dash doesn't work. Is anyone else having the same problem.

It's not setup to function. It's not a problem. Otherwise it's just an annoyance. No real purpose to someone once they know how to shift properly.

Thanks, My dealer said it's not designed to work, but I don't trust them anymore that is why I was asking. Thanks

It is there to work with the 3.9 versions. No longer works with the newer engines.

MY GOD, YOU MAY HAVE JUST DISRUPTED THE SPACE TIME CONTINUUM!!!!
J/K,It's kind of funny anyway, a light to tell you when to shift? Sure am glad mine only comes on at start-up.

I have a 5 speed 04 dodge dakota stampede and shift at 3k in
1 2 and 3 then lower to about 2500 in 4th and 5th
Is this good shifting patterns?
