Message: This is a great site. Thank you all.
I installed a new motor a new resistor and still nothing. I am not getting voltage at the motor connector. How do I check voltage at the resistor or do I?. How do you get the switch out of the dash to check the switch. I am an electrician but not a auto electrician. Any help wuld be appreciated.

Message: This site is awesome!! I'm not much of a mechanic, (helped my
brother and dad back in the day), so this site helps walk me thru
stuff. I am running out to auto parts store for new resistor. Keep
fingers crossed for me that this works. Still working on the stuck
lifter problem too, refuse to give up!!

Message: My blower motor quit today - it was fine when I parked the truck, but 5 minutes later there was nothing. I noticed that when switching to any "on" position that the parking brake warning light comes on. I came home, found this thread, checked all my fuses, and even replaced the blower resistor but no luck. I have also observed that the parking brake warning light comes on when in reverse and I do not have reverse lights. What in the world am I missing?

Message: thanks to everybody that comment about this problem we fix my friend's car, he call me just to give him a hand to change the a/c blower and we did it but didn't work , then we start looking for some information about the problem and did trouble shooting; fuses first, test the blower with battery, voltage on wires feeding blower, until we get to the point of look for the RESISTOR PACK , we unscrewed and the problem was there, very easy to identify (was burn) so my ADVICE to everybody that run into this problem is check fuses first and then take unscrew the RESISTOR PACK and then the rest . thanks

Message: "GREAT SITE" I had just bought a 2004 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.7 5 speed manual transmission. 166.000 km. While i was checking it out i had the blower fan on high while it was running, checking other things feel of clutch, gear shifting ,wipers ,radio, the blower quit working, switched it to other setting's worked fine,so i did not think anything of it.Bought the Truck certified,a week later no blower at all, i picked up a Hayes manual, checked the trouble shoot section, not helpfull at all,THAT"s when i found you GUY's,right on the Money, resistor under glove box, took 2 minutes to remove, the 5/16 screw's BUT, ran into a problem trying to unplug the unit, The resistor was Fused, melted inside the connector harness, So what would of taken all but 10 minutes TOP'S. I ended up using my Drumal cutting tool, and carefully had to remove the resistor, even with the bottom half of the Black connector removed the resistor still plugs in and the blower works fine on all setting's. As to how long time will tell, I feel from your forum from other's, that the blower Motor is what caused the problem, and should have been a RECALL from the get GO.
