Subject: abs and brake lights IP: Logged
Message: have a 97 dakota sport, fuse keeps blowing under the hood for the brake lights, could not find a short in the wiring harness, when fuse blows the brake & abs light comes on. can replace fuse sometimes it blows right away, other times it will last a day or two. Any suggestions would be greatley appriciated!!!

Message: hi we just bought a 99 durango and not even 24 hours later our abs and brake lights are on. brakes still work so im starting to think maybe ours is a fuse too. dont know what else it could be since it was fine a few hours earlier!any ideas are welcome

Message: could be rear speed sensor on your rear end. my abs and brake light stayed on, speedo didnt work till around 35, called a friends who is a chrysler master mechanic, he said it was speed sensor, went to dealership bought part, put it in, now no problems.

Message: Do you have 4 wheel abs?.My 98 Durango has the same light issue. Speedo works at all speeds. Turned out to be a stuck relay in the module assembly. Happy hunting ,cause all the junk yards are fresh out.
