im worried i should make him sell it.

That's just it -- the wheels are falling off and there is no recall. If he can't fix it, I'd have him sell it, cuz you can be damn sure Daddy Daimler isn't going to fix it.

if he likes it otherwise just replace the ball joints. BUT there ain't NO RECALL.
JES what do you mean if he can't fix it it is really an easy to do operation to replace the joints, you just need the right tools, when you buy the joints at your local autoparts store just rent for a small nominal fee but a usually healthy deposit, returned when the tools are, the tools to do the job right. then go get alignment,if the truck is more then a year old it most likely needs one any way.

Ya ... it is an easy fix. And I'd be willing to bet that 90% of DAK owners can't do it. And most shops are refusing to drill out the rivets due to liability issues.

I changed ball joints on my Vette and it was easy. I bought a devise called a ""Pickle fork" and just put a hammer to it and they pop right off. Of course I had about 200,000 miles on my Vette when I did it. Not 20K-40K like my DAK will probably need.
