Subject: Which brand of ball joints? IP: Logged
Message: So I've been looking up all the different makers of ball joints and their prices. I'm not that much of an expert on this subject, so I'd figure I'll ask for some help. I'm either going to buy MOOG, NAPA, Perfect Circle, or Mcquay Norris ball joints. Is there a definite best out of these or are they pretty much the same with different prices? Cheapest were the Perfect Circle, most expensive was the NAPA. Thanks ahead for any advice.

Message: I put MOOG on mine. Happy so far. Make sure they come with the grease fittings. I heard two stories on NAPA, one said they don't come with grease fittings, one said they do??? NAPA supposedly have better grease boots. My Moogs are OK, but the bottom boot could be bigger. As long as you keep it greased, probably doesn't matter.

Message: It has been a while, but I think the NAPA were close to $60 each. The MOOGs from rockauto.com where closer to $40 each.

Message: I would go with the Napa brand because they offer a lifetime warranty unlike the MOOG, I have no problem with mine!

Message: I buy everything I can from Napa because of their service. I too was told by them that the uppers do not have grease fittings, that's why I went with Moogs.

Message: The Napa brand does have grease fitting on the upper ball joint. I purchased them for my Durango.
The upper are easy to replace, however the lower are a real pain. you have to remove the torson bars, the hubs, the stablizers rotors just to be able to remove the lower control arms and the lower ball joint.
This sucks, I will never buy a Dodge product again.

Message: Actually all the ball joints that you mentioned except for moog are manufactured in the same place. The Napa line is a high quality chassis parts. Mainly made with polyurethane bushings unlike moogs spring style. MOOG SUCKS

Message: Asking for best offset ball joint that can be installed . What about RAYBESTOS ( profeesional grade) is this brand compared with OEM parts (mopar) or NAPA is preferred.
